The voting was close but in the end, JAPA won and goes on to represent the Sacramento region at the Startup World Cup Semifinals and Grand Finale in San Francisco September 28-30.
JAPA is a platform that transforms parking lots to SMART parking lots. The then-fledgling startup, co-founded by undergraduates Mathew Magno and Charles Chen, took top prize in the 2018 UC Davis Big Bang! Business Competition and has been expanding ever since.
