EQUIP was really helpful in exposing me to different resources, events on campus, and people with amazing experiences who provided invaluable advice for my career search, balancing my time, networking and setting goals for myself. This advice helped me learn some new skills and form better habits that will help me shape my future."

The most important thing I discovered had to do with myself. I have the ability to do whatever I desire to do, and EQUIP reminded me of that. If you never try, the answer is always no."

Meet Sana Karimi

Sana Karimi (pictured at top of the page) participated in our pilot EQUIP program in spring 2019. She graduated in 2020 with a B.A. in sociology and psychology. Today Sana is an undergraduate academic advisor for the Psychological & Brain Sciences Department at UC Santa Barbara.

“EQUIP taught me that it does not take a genius to create something of high value, but instead dedication to the process and grit to push oneself beyond the mundane. We are all capable of being an entrepreneur, in some form or another, if we apply the right tools and empower the creator inside us.”
