Students! The Little Bang! Poster + Pitch Competition is an entry-level event—no business experience is necessary. Start your entrepreneurial journey today.
Launch your future. The Little Bang! will help you define your business idea and communicate it concisely on a poster. This competition is open to all currently enrolled students at the high school, community college, undergraduate or graduate level.

Program funding for the Little Bang! is provided through a generous gift from Barry and Lynda Keller and the Sacramento Region Community Foundation.
Global Sustainability + Social Innovation Award
The Global Sustainability + Social Innovation Award is available for eligible UC Davis student teams. To be eligible:
- Your venture must address at least two of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). Teams must list the two UNSDGs their venture addresses when they register to compete.
- Your team must be multidisciplinary, with UC Davis students from at least two different fields of study: for example, engineering and wildlife biology, or managerial economics and design.
Winners agree to:
- Write a one-page (minimum 500-word) blog that reflects on lessons learned participating in the Little Bang! and establishes milestones for developing your business idea.
- Complete an awardee payout form.

Note to Past Competitors

If you entered the January 2022 Little Bang! competition and your poster did not receive an award, you may refine it and/or register for this May 2022 competition with a new poster.
Any business idea that won a Little Bang! award in a past academic year is not eligible to compete.
